"Nobody listens to radio anymore." You believe that? No, we don't either - and you're reading this after all. Yet in so many places radio has become nothing but canned or satellite broadcasts from who knows where. Easy, cheap and not very local.

Centre County used to have a strong tradition of good talk radio, LOCAL talk radio. Sports, news, reporting, play by play. Then years ago that began to disappear. Just one music station after another, usually juggling positions every few years.​

At 98.7 FM The Fox we decided to do differently. Our area is strong on sports (call it a Penn State thing) so we opted to bring back good sports talk to the neighborhood. Our local high school teams were being ignored so we decided to give those kids the attention they deserve and used to get. And with the addition of Fox Sports Radio we have all the bases covered 24/7.

But not just sports talk - we wanted to cover the whole community by bringing back the daily general news talk programs locals would remember - that's our morning Let's Talk program weekdays from 8-10 AM. We cover and talk about anything - and if we make you angry with a topic, we do that with everyone at some point. Just keep listening - and call in if you disagree, make your case. We'll give you that chance.

A key word for us is "unique." Don't do what other folks are doing - they're already doing it. That's why you won't find news stories on our website here - instead we offer links to other area news outlets to show what they do best. Use us here as your starting point and stay completely informed.
